Therapeutic Massage

Massage Therapy uses a variety of hands-on techniques to manipulate the body's soft tissues to facilitate relaxation, provide pain relief, ease muscle tension, increase joint flexibility, and more.
** by appointment only **

In massage therapy, a licensed massage therapist rubs and kneads the soft tissues of your body by varying the amount of pressure and movement. These tissues include muscle, connective tissue (fascia), tendons, ligaments, and skin.

Therapeutic massage describes any type of massage modality that helps relieve pain, reduces stress, and works on a specific problem. Integrative bodywork is a form of therapeutic massage that focuses on whole-person healing and may also incorporate techniques like breathwork into a massage. By using and combining modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, neuromuscular / trigger point therapy, connective tissue (myofascial) release, assisted stretching, and more, the therapist helps stimulate the body's innate desire to be balanced and ease symptoms.

In any therapeutic massage that integrates a variety of techniques, it is essential for the client to be an active participant and give the therapist feedback on pressure, sensation, and changes. Most people who receive therapeutic massage regularly report feeling general relief and a sense of peace and increased relaxation.

It is important to note that a client's needs may vary on any given day. This means that the massage therapist will apply specific techniques and the appropriate amount of pressure to address your needs.
